Hockey & Heels

In an effort to expand our fan base, we created an event targeting potential female fans. A lot of these types of events have a very condescending feel to them, so we made a concerted effort not to talk down to or stereotype this audience. We partnered with Will DeVry and Ryan Paevy from ABC's General Hospital to tap into their existing fan base. We created a two-day event that included a private dinner with the ABC actors on Friday night, and a Hockey 101 session on Saturday afternoon. The ticket package for both events included a ticket to Saturday night's Islanders game. As a special treat, our Hockey & Heels guests got to high-five the players as they made their way onto the ice to start the second period. Attendees had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their introduction to New York Islanders hockey.
